Sisters Softball Etc. Summer Camp
Two Newton softball playing sisters are offering their summer camp again this year. At
Sisters Softball Etc. Summer Camp they aim to provide a week of fun that combines their childcare experience with their love for softball. Campers will work on softball basics and enjoy a variety of activities, such as swimming in the pool, trampolining, arts and crafts, games, and softball hairstyling. It's a week of creating memories and friendships.
When: July 29, 2024 - August 2, 2024, 8:30am - 12:00 noon
Cost: $175 per child per week - Venmo, PayPal, or cash
Newton Community Ed Summer Softball Camp
Improve your softball skills with Lauren Baugher, varsity softball head coach at Newton North High School. Work on hitting, bunting, pitching, catching, infield, outfield, and base-running.
Kids will be grouped by age and skill level. Campers will also have access to the pool for 45 minutes each day. Wear athletic clothing and cleats. For more information and to register

Jumbo Softball Clinics
Tufts Softball Advanced Weekly Winter Pitching Education
When: Eight Sundays (Jan 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 3, 10) from 11 am to 12 pm
Where: Tufts University Softball Indoor Complex in the Tisch Athletic Center
What: This clinic is a weekly clinic designed for the advanced pitcher who knows how to throw a fastball, change up and the movement pitches. We will do drills to enforce good fastball mechanics and gain speed and power. We will not learn the pitches in this clinic, but rather work on developing spin and break. This clinic will use video work, radar guns, Rapsodo, Diamond Kinetics Pitch Tracker, RevFire and other measurables over the course of the eight weeks. This is designed for the high school pitcher looking to get better and ready for high school season. Pitchers signing up for this clinic should have a basic knowledge of how to throw most of the four pitches: curve, screw, rise and drop.
Cost: $280 for all eight weeks
Tufts Softball Intermediate Weekly Winter Pitching Education
When: Eight Sundays (Jan 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 3, 10) from 9 am to 10 am
Where: Tufts University Softball Indoor Complex in the Tisch Athletic Center
What: This clinic is a weekly clinic designed for the pitcher who has a basic knowledge of how to pitch but is looking to work on and master the fastball mechanics. We will do weekly drills to learn and perfect good fastball mechanics and help pitchers gain power and speed. We will also focus on developing and mastering a change up. We will focus on control and command with both of these pitches. Additionally, pitchers in the intermediate clinic will learn how to throw a curve ball over the course of the eight-week clinic. This clinic will use video work, radar guns, Rapsodo, Diamond Kinetics Pitch Tracker, RevFire and other measurables over the course of the eight weeks. This clinic is perfect for any aged pitcher that is still looking to perfect their fastball mechanics and learn to command a movement pitch.
Cost: $280 for all eight weeks
Tufts Softball Beginning Weekly Winter Pitching Education
When: Eight Sundays (Jan 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 3, 10) from 9 am to 10 am
Where: Tufts University Softball Indoor Complex in the Tisch Athletic Center
What: This clinic is a weekly clinic designed for the pitcher who is learning how to pitch. We will learn a good warm up and drills that will help enforce and learn good fastball mechanics. Pitchers will learn and do drills to learn good fastball mechanics and increase speed and power. Additionally we will focus on control and command, helping pitchers learn how to control their pitches. We will also learn a change up in this clinic and work on mastering control and command of both the fastball and the change up. We will utilize some technology as well in this clinic. This clinic is perfect for the pitcher learning how to pitch!
Notes: This clinic will take place indoors. Tufts University is requiring that all attendees be fully vaccinated. Additionally, masks must be worn indoors.

Tufts Softball Hitting Club
When: Eight Sundays (Jan 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 3, 10) from 10 am to 11 am
Where: Tufts University Softball Indoor Complex in the Tisch Athletic Center
What: This clinic is designed for all hitters: beginning, intermediate and advanced and hitters will be divided by age and skill level at the clinic. We will go over both upper half and lower half hitting mechanics and give players drills they can do at clinic and at home to perfect their swing. We will also work on hitting different pitches and locations, work on timing, and situational hitting. This is a great opportunity for all players to get ready for the spring season. This clinic will utilize Blast, Rapsodo and other hitting technology.
Cost: $280 for all eight weeks
Tufts Softball Defensive Fundamentals
When: Eight Sundays (Jan 21, 28, Feb 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 3, 10) from 12 pm to 1 pm
Where: Tufts University Softball Indoor Complex in the Tisch Athletic Center
What: This clinic is designed for softball players of all ages that want to work on their defensive skills. We will cover throwing mechanics and go over not only how to master the overhand throw but all the other little throws in our game. We will work on glove work and defensive footwork that all infielders and outfielders need to improve their game. Players will have the opportunity to separate into infield and outfield. This clinic will be open to all ages but players will be divided at the clinic based on age and skill level so they are working with similarly skilled players.
